Laura Gorla
Postdoctoral Associate
Laura Gorla, a developmental psychologist by training, is a postdoctoral associate at the Center for Child and Family Policy. Before starting her postdoctoral position, she completed all her studies in Milan, Italy. She earned a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Milano-Bicocca, obtained her professional license as a psychologist, and received a Master’s in developmental psychology and protection processes and a Bachelor’s degree in psychological sciences from the Catholic University of Sacred Heart. She is also a trainee psychotherapist for individuals, families, and couples. During her Ph.D. studies, Gorla was a visiting scholar at the Center and has collaborated with the Parenting Across Cultures and Fast Track projects since January 2023.
Her main research interests are parent-child relationships, parenting, and child development. She has always been interested in understanding more about relational processes in the family and intergenerational relationships.
