Statistician II

Overview

Kevin joined the Center for Child and Family Policy in April 2025 and supports Dr. Katie Rosanbalm’s research team on projects including the NC Community Schools Initiative, the Infant-Toddler Trauma-Informed Care (ITTI Care) Project, and the North Carolina Education Research Data Center (NCERDC).

With over twenty years of experience as a programmer, statistician, and psychometrician, Kevin has contributed to large-scale federal surveys for the U.S. Postal Service and Department of Labor, as well as education-focused initiatives such as Achieving the Dream, the Gates Foundation’s Developmental Education Initiative, and FIPSE. He also worked with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction on the development of EOG and EOC assessments for K–12 students.

Kevin holds a B.S. in Sociology from James Madison University, M.S. degrees in Statistics (Virginia Tech) and Applied Sociology (Clemson University), and a Ph.D. in Education Research and Evaluation from Virginia Tech.
