Josie Hatley

Josie (she/her) is a North Carolina native and has worked with the NC Integrated Care for Kids (NC InCK) model through the Duke School of Medicine’s Children’s Health and Discovery Initiative since 2022. She holds a Master of Public Health in Maternal, Child, and Family Health, with a focus on the systems impacts on early childhood development, particularly in the context of parental substance misuse and Child Welfare Involvement. During this time, she also earned a certificate in Innovation for the Public Good and is passionate about utilizing techniques from Human Centered Design in Public Health.

Josie has worked with young children and families in early childhood education settings from a young age. Prior to earning her master’s degree, she worked as an Infant/Toddler Teacher and volunteered for several years with the Guardian ad Litem program across counties in North Carolina.
