Therapy Dogs Visit

Help reset your mind to prepare for finals by coming to visit with us! Stop by the Sanford Lawn for a cup of hot chocolate and to visit with our therapy dog teams.

Research shows pet therapy is an effective form of psychotherapy intervention that reduces stress and depression. Plus, they’re cute! A therapy dog team refers to a dog and its owner. Both are evaluated and certified by Canines for Service to provide animal-assisted activities. Volunteers will be seated on the Sanford Lawn patio with their therapy dog partner. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to sit and chat with our volunteers and interact with the therapy dogs.
