Shannon Egan-Dailey

Postdoctoral Associate

Shannon Egan-Dailey is a postdoctoral associate in the Sanford School of Public Policy, working on the Baby’s First Years project. Her research examines children’s early language development using various behavioral methods. She is interested in how language input varies systematically between children and families (such as by child gender or family socioeconomic status) and how that affects language development. On Baby’s First Years, Shannon is investigating the mechanisms of socioeconomic-based differences in parenting and child language development.

Shannon received a BA in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015 and a PhD in developmental psychology from Duke University in 2022, advised by Dr. Elika Bergelson.
