Lesley Mendez Sandoval

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Lesley graduated from Meredith College in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology and earned her MPH in Epidemiology from East Carolina University in 2025. Her professional experience spans from conducting laboratory research on bacterial and viral disinfection methods at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to graduate research focused on childhood chronic disease prevention.

She currently works as a bilingual research analyst and community navigator with the Center for Child and Family Policy, where she helps connect families with needed resources. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling around the world and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
