Katherine Smith

Katherine joined CCFP in June 2024 with 12+ years of experience in event planning, communications, and public relations. Katherine began her career at the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council and later advanced to UC Irvine’s Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science. Originally from Hong Kong and raised in California, she studied art history and English at U.C. Irvine. In 2023, Katherine moved to North Carolina where she worked in the student activities department at Wake Tech Community College, leading major events and student engagement initiatives across eight campuses. An avid traveler and museum enthusiast, she also champions children’s rights, serving as a court-appointed advocate in California.
