Policy Engagement

The Center’s policy engagement work reflects Duke’s commitment to "knowledge in the service of society." The Center is continuously looking for opportunities to share research results in ways that make the information meaningful and useful to policymakers and practitioners.

Policy engagement is an integral part of the Center’s mission. Our current efforts include:

• The Family Impact Seminar series, a legislative education initiative.
• Assisting faculty at the Center, at Duke, and beyond to connect their work and expertise to policy and practice stakeholders through written policy briefs and in-person briefings.
• Conducting research in communities, often resulting in direct services to citizens.
• Publicizing our work to bring recent, relevant research to a wide audience.
